The core work of the Genomics Facility at CABIMER involves the following lines:

 1. Microarrays,

  • a. Gene expression analysis (i.e.: “3´ Expression Arrays”, “Exon Arrays”, “microRNA Arrays” and “Gene Arrays”).
  • b. Whole genomes studies (i.e. for Transcript Mapping or ChIP-on-Chip analysis with “Tiling Arrays”, “Promoter Arrays” and “Encode Arrays”).

2. Statistical analysis of microarray data.

3. Analysis of RNA Quality. An automated high-throughput approach, in order to estimate the integrity of RNA samples in an unambiguous way, using the technique developed by Agilent Technologies for the 2100 Bioanalyzer.

4. High-throughput Robots for automatic handling of samples (ONLY INTERNAL GROUPS):
  • a. RoToR HDA (colony picker). To inoculate or replicate colonies, only in 96 or 384 format.
  • b. Microlab Star Hamilton robot. Handling-liquid robot for work with different formats and different protocols.
