CABIMER (Centro Andaluz de Biología Molecular y Medicina Regenerativa - Andalusian Molecular Biology and Regenerative Medicine Centre) is a groundbreaking multidisciplinary biomedical research centre in Andalusia, drawing together basic and applied research with the aim of transforming the results of the scientific work carried out there into direct improvements to citizens' health and quality of life.

The Centre is the result of a partnership involving the Departments of Health and Science, Innovation and Business of the Andalusian Regional Government , the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the University of Seville and the University Pablo de Olavide . This association of entities provide CABIMER's researchers with a more effective channel of communication with centres and professionals within the Andalusian public health system and with the business world, encourage the application of scientific progress to clinical practice.
Located in the Parque Científico y Tecnológico Cartuja 93 , CABIMER occupies a building of over 9,000 m2 fitted with the very latest scientific equipment. Total investment in the centre has exceeded 15 million euros. The building has three floors containing 20 laboratories and different common services, accommodating the work of 200 professional researchers from the Centre's different constituent institutions.
The Centre also has a specific-pathogen-free animal house equipped with automated handling and washing systems, allowing the generation of transgenic animals. CABIMER's research facilities enable it to undertake European and American research projects in full compliance with international standards.
